Jacquie Biehl - Childbirth Educator & Birth Doula
Born in Colorado, raised in Maine, Jacquie moved to North Carolina in 2009 to pursue graduate study in Romance Studies and teach French at Duke. After the birth of her first child in 2014, she left her academic career to pursue her passion for birth work and trained as a professional birth doula with DONA International. Combining her perspective as a doula with her teaching experience in post-secondary education, she then became a perinatal health educator with a local hospital system. Jacquie is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE), Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), American Heart Association Certified BLS (Basic Life Support) Instructor and Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST).
She has had the honor and privilege of supporting hundreds of growing families in the Triangle as their childbirth educator, doula, or support group leader. Jacquie is passionate about empowering parents with the knowledge and support to build their confidence and keep their families safe and healthy.
In her free time, you will find her playing outside with her two active kids and giant rescue pup, trying out new brunch spots, taking a weekend getaway with her husband, or finding some quiet time to read or craft.
